Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Romans 5:3-5 ESV
Good Morning Men of God,
"Failure is not an option" is a common phrase spoken in countless military or sports themed movies. If I was to transpose that phrase into being a husband and/or father it would read "Failure is not an option, it is a Certainty "
Doing this job well is a process. A daily pursuit of God's presence that will lead us, to lead our families in the right direction. Sometimes, our failures or sufferings have the ability to drag us into depression and self doubt. Our text today shows us that our sufferings and hardships work a process in us that will lead to a heart filled with the Joy of the Lord through his Holy Spirit. It is these tough situations; these perceived failures that, if we faint not, lead us to be the Men in God our wives and kids need us to be. Failure is a certainty because it is crucial to your success in Jesus Christ. It reminds us of our need and dependency on the Almighty God.
Love you guys
