Whatever You Have

Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, "Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?" He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do. Philip answered him, "Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little." One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to him, "There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?" Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:5‭-‬11‭, ‬54 ESV

Good Evening Men of God,

First, I wanted to thank you guys for being patient with me. I know these devotionals have been coming slow the past few weeks. Please keep me and my family in your prayers. Thank you for your understanding.

We do not have an accurate view of the Kingdom needs around us. We see everything from a one dimensional view point. God sees the need, and the provision for the need in the same line of sight. Our job is to surrender whatever we have, regardless of how little to the Father for His use. A small amount of resources backed with the surrender and faithfulness of a believer goes a long way. In John 6 we see Jesus feed over 5k people with 3 fish and 5 loaves of bread. This amount of food was sufficient for one person outside of the hand of God. But in the hand of Jesus, this small amount becomes more than enough. I encourage you guys to be like the obedient young boy who surrendered his lunch. Don't see the size of the need and assess that your contribution can't bring change. Faithfully surrender your best to Jesus, and watch him multiply and magnify your gift of time, talent, or tithe to meet the Kingdom needs around you.

Love you Guys!

Patrick
