Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.
Hebrews 12:1-3 ESV
Good Morning Men of God,
You are of great importance to God. The torture and humiliation that Jesus Christ endured was so that we could have an opportunity to enjoy eternity with the Father. Our scripture tells us this morning that for the joy set before HIM, Christ endured the cross. You are that joy! It is the power made available to us as HIS children through the resurrection of Jesus Christ that allows us to not be weary. It was abundant pain, humiliation, and hurt endured by the Creator from His creation. All this was done to improve your way of life on earth, and to establish your eternity in heaven. That is heavy! How will we respond to such a sacrifice? I encourage you today, if you have not already done it to commit your lives to Christ. Make your walk on this earth about more that just Sunday attendance. Be willing to sacrifice and endure so that other people can understand their value to God.
Love you Guys.
