When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
Isaiah 59:19b NKJV
Evening Men of God,
I have to keep it real this evening . This week, has been one of the hardest weeks I have had since moving to Florida! Satan has been with me at every step. There were times where i felt like I could feel him trying to choke me out. As most of you might know, Keisha and I are in the final stages of planting Preservation Church. God has given us a vision for an outreach based ministry focused on Welcoming All Wounded, Worshiping the Risen Savior, and Witnessing to a Lost World. He has called us to do this with a minimal financial footprint. This will allow us to reach and meet the spiritual and natural needs of the families and individuals in the Palm River/Claire Mel area of Tampa. True to HIS promise, God has worked miracles to provide an awesome space, and we are moving closer to starting. It seems the closer we get, the more the enemy Wars against us. This brought me to our text for the day. In Isaiah 59 it describes the enemy coming in like a flood. A flood is sudden and sweeping. You can't really prepare for it. It is swift and deadly. It does not trickle in slowly. One second you are good, the next you think you are drowning. But the text does not end there! It says that when(not if), but when the enemy comes in like a powerful, unexpected, sweeping flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. That standard is the anchor in the time of flood. It is our protection. The rooted Jesus Christ that as long as we hang on to HIM, the flood can be as strong as it wants. As we finish this week, pay less attention to the flood, and more attention to the standard that is His provision to get you through the flood. Why worry about rushing water, when your standard WALKS ON IT! Love you Guys!
