And when Jesus had stepped out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit. He lived among the tombs. And no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain, for he had often been bound with shackles and chains, but he wrenched the chains apart, and he broke the shackles in pieces. No one had the strength to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always crying out and cutting himself with stones. And when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and fell down before him.
Mark 5:2-6 ESV
Morning Men of God,
Our way of dealing with obstacles in our lives can be backwards. When things arise we often set out to make our plan and execute it to solve the problem. We use our wisdom, our experiences, and our strength to accomplish the task at hand. When challenges arise, and we address them like that, we are wrong. If we look at our scripture today, the people attempted to subdue and "handle" the demon possessed man on numerous occasions. All of their attempts failed. Then came Jesus Christ! The simple presence of Jesus calmed the possessed man, and HIS words cast out the demons. It works the same with the obstacles and challenges in our lives. Resist the temptation to "handle" the situation. Before you do anything, Seek the Lord. Pray and ask God to guide you. Usher the presence of God into the situation, and allow HIM to give guidance on how to handle it. We see our issues at eye level. He sees them through the eyes of eternity. I encourage you guys to honor God, even in knowing how to face challenges and obstacles.
Love you Guys
Patrick
