The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? "I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds."

Morning Men of God,
In Human Anatomy, the heart is the core of our life force. It is such an important part of God's creative power in us. You have heard of someone being "brain dead" but if the heart is dead, then there is nothing naturally that medicine can do to keep an individual living. In the text today we learn that through prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving that the Peace of God will Guard our Hearts and Minds in Christ Jesus. Why has God in creation and scripture put such a focus on the heart? The answer is simple. The heart is the pumping life force in our bodies both spiritually and physically. If our hearts are corrupt, then we are corrupt. If our hearts are pure , then we are pure. Our Hearts need guarding and spiritual centering because it is through the output of our hearts that we are judged. Jeremiah 17:9-10 shows us that God searches the heart to bless man according to his ways. The condition of our spiritual hearts has implications towards how God will use us. We are implored to rest peacefully without anxiety; but to pray, submit, and thank God continually for what he has already done, and what he will do for us and our families . Through this, God's Peace will filter all those things out of our hearts that are contrary to a life of Faith in God. Through continually praying, submitting, and thanking God, HIS peace will GUARD OUR HEARTS.
