Good Morning Men of God,
If earthly perfection was possible, we would have no need for Jesus Christ. Without Jesus Christ it is impossible to grow to be more like God. We as Fathers and Husband's have to accept the we are going to miss the mark at times. Even with our best efforts, we will still occasionally make a mess of situations. Thank God for Jesus! The text today is a reminder that our steps are secured by the Father. Even if we fall, we shall not be "cast headlong", or thrown down. I guess the only question is, are we delighting ourselves in HIS way? Are we, with our time, talent, and tithe making his plan for us a priority? If you read Psalm 37:23-24 again,whereas it is very encouraging, it is also two-sided. We have some responsibility in it. Our steps are established; meaning the security of knowing that even if we make mistakes God has covered them is depending on our personal walk with God. It is not automatic. The security of this promise is based on our heart's desire to Seek, Know and Follow God. The course we navigate to lead our families is too crucial to rely on our own plan and intuitions. Delight in the Lord today and live with the security that as we are leading, even if we make a wrong turn; HE will put us safely back on course.
